As at 30 June 2011, the estimated resident population of Brisbane City Local Government Area (LGA) was 1,089,743 persons, compared with 4,474,098 persons in Queensland. The population of Brisbane City LGA increased by 13,950 persons between 30 June 2010 and 2011, which was a population growth rate of 1.3 per cent, compared with 1.1 per cent increase for Queensland.
